After we had changed the tape at Sad’s ears several times (also the other kind of medical tape was a problem for Sad’s skin, sometimes the tape just was too tight so it started to hurt) we could take out the stitches. This time we did this by ourselves (last time we had a nurse that helped us). it wasn’t that hard. Just pull at one end of the stitch, then you will see the knot and the rest of the stitch appear close to your skin. Now just cut as close under the knot as possible (but just at one side, so the stitch will stay a single piece)
Some of the stitches came out really easy, others were really tight, so we had to pull a lot. Niha removed the stitches all by herself which is also a comfortable method because if you know that you will touch your ear, they hurt less than anybody else is touching them.
After we took the pictures, we attached medical tape to Sad ’s ears again (we did this the last time too to go for sure that the ears will hold its shape). We also just took out the stitches at one of Sad ’s ears. You remember? He hit one of his ears with the door of his car, so Steve recommended us to let the stitches in for three more days.
|just to be sure that everything is clean ;)|
|we just wanted to shock our friends with this pic ;)|
So three days later we also removed the stitches from Sad ’s second ear and found some more hidden stitches in the first one ^^° Haha, good that we tried to remove the last pieces of dried blood, because stitches were totally covered under it.
All in all the numbness in our ear tips is almost gone and our ears become less sensitive every day.
